No roleplaying game is perfect. When Daisychain has a problem or a player has a concern, the mods want to hear about it. Unfortunately we are all human and we miss things, but it’s always been our desire to continually improve the game and make the experience of playing here as good as possible for every player. To that end, you can really help us by giving us feedback about the game. We want to know what ideas are working and what are not, when there is a problem between you and another player that the mods can help mediate, and what can be improved to make playing here (for you or for anyone) more fun.

Ideally, we would love it if every player could bring their concerns to us directly in IM or e-mail, so we can ask questions and discuss with you a solution, or keep you informed about the process of discussing and correcting the problem. If you feel comfortable going that route, please find the mods’ individuals AIM screennames and the mod e-mail below. We would also be happy to provide individual e-mails if requested.

Be assured that we will be as discreet and confidential as possible. If your concerns are shared with the rest of the game while enacting solutions, they’ll be done so generally and without naming names. Disputes between players will always be handled privately. Your concerns will always be taken seriously; our usual course of action when problems are brought to our attention is to discuss them extensively in mod chat, come up with possible solutions, and implement them. Although the change may not always be obvious or immediate, we’ll do our best to keep you informed about what we are doing in response to your concerns.

We know, however, that not all players are comfortable bringing their concerns directly to the moderators and “outing” themselves. This feedback post is an alternative, with anonymous and screened commenting on. When taking advantage of the anonymous option, please be as specific as possible regarding your concerns; give us all the information you think we’ll need to do something about the problem.

We’ll make every effort to keep anonymous comments in confidence as well. To that end, please also indicate whether you would like a direct response to your anonymous comment (we ask this because we’ll have to unscreen it in order to respond to it, and not all players may want that).

As always, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions for the moderators, please IM, e-mail, or use this post. Thank you for your help!

Couple of things!

I love Daisychain. I love Daisychain a lot. I like how we can freely roam and everything and do our own little miniplots and everything and I love TONS of the people here, but.

But.

That sense of an overall plot stringing us along is kind of shrouded in the clouds. I mean, yeah. We get our graffiti, we get our crab bites, we get our disappearances, Clover throws a fit, etc. But to be honest? It's gradually becoming very repetitive and I only hope that something fresh will slink its way into view.

Additionally, I have a bit of an issue with the crab bites. I like having them done by mod-control. This is awesome. HOWEVER. I honestly wonder what's the point of them if one shake of a magic spell from a healer will completely cure a person of a crab bite. What is the point if we don't have any consequences of a crab bite? What is the point if someone can just be ZOOM HEALED from it? I like the idea well enough, but it seems to serve no point if it can be done away with so quickly. The only times I've really been interested in someone being bitten by a crab has been Dahlia, I think, simply due to Sora having a conflict of morality about it. It was an interesting plot, but after that, it's been kind of the same old same old.

tl;dr, I'm hoping for some refreshing plottin', guys.

Hey Alba, thanks so much for your feedback!

We certainly want to keep things fresh and interesting around here, and we've got some long-term plans for the year and some short-term plans for the next few months that we hope will stir up the status quo a little bit. We of course can't say when these are all going to happen or what they are, but keep your eyes out and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We have been making an effort to branch out from just monster encounters and crab bites and we continue to work on implementing new events to raise the players' interest, such as the computer messages, results of the subway adventure, results of the disappearances, etc. The plot is ongoing and we're trying not to reveal too many of our cards at once while still keeping things fresh and interesting; even the small events will help add up to a larger whole. That said, we continue to work on developing new short-term and long-term events and we also welcome suggestions from players, though the more gamewide they become the more picky we get, as we need to make sure they fit into our overarching story.

Thanks again for your feedback!
