Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend  Next Entry
::posting format::

This is the header that should be used for your threads/logs and narratives:

Characters, location, and time of day are self-explanatory, we hope. Content should tell us what's going on in your thread. Be sure to label any adult warnings (graphic violence, sex, etc). Write your logs in third-person POV, past tense. You should tagchain in your threads, meaning that your tags should be posted to the previous comment, not the original post. If you don't want to have collapsed comments in your threads you can start a new chain when appropriate--just be sure to warn your partner in case he or she is not tracking the whole thread.

Journals in Project Daisychain are basically LiveJournals and can be accessed/posted to from any computer terminal in the city. If your character doesn't have a computer at home, he or she can use one in an internet cafe. Journal entries can be marked private (whole or part) and comments can be disabled or make private.

Privacy levels: When marking a journal entry "private," please also indicate the level of privacy placed on the entry. The levels are easy, medium, hard, and unhackable. These labels are for the benefit of players whose characters have some canonical level of hacking skills. They work as follows:

Easy: Any character with hacking skills, or a character who's particularly good with computers, can access this entry if they try.

Medium: Skilled hackers can access this entry.

Hard: A lot of skill required to access this entry. Only characters who are unquestionably experienced at accessing securely guarded computers and programs should be able to access it.

Unhackable: Only the very best hackers can access this entry, and only with OOC permission. Muns of hacker characters must obtain the permission of the mun who posted the journal entry before replying or presuming that their characters have read it.
